Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Saturday; Vivas in the Fontwell 2.15. Compare odds and bet.
Another relatively quiet Saturday, as the Flat season winds down and the jumps is yet to get going properly. The one horse I like, however, is Vivas (2:15) who makes his chase debut at Fontwell, for Charlie Longsdon and Johnny Burke.
He gives away a fair bit of experience to most of his rivals here, but he ran some solid races in good company over hurdles last year and he won first time out at Uttoxeter. I saw this horse school particularly well at Longsdon’s Open Day recently – he was a good jumper of a hurdle, too – so I think he might well improve for fences and, with the yard in form, you would have to presume that he’s wound up for this return.
His two victories to date have come on good ground and over this sort of trip, so there aren’t too many excuses for the seven-year-old, who should get a nice lead off the free-going pair, Royal Plaza and Our Three Sons.
Saturday’s selection:
2:15 Fontwell – Vivas; 3/1 Bet365
