Paul Ferguson has two selections from Kempton for us on Wednesday; Buzz at 7.20 ands Petitioner at 7.50. Compare odds and bet.
There are a couple of interesting runners at Kempton this evening, both of which ran in the same race at the Sunbury track back in May.
The winner Buzz (7:20) is up 5lbs and takes his chance in the extended 1m3f handicap, for Hughie Morrison and Liam Keniry. The grey travelled well to lead last time and given how he saw out the race, he shouldn’t have a problem with tonight’s extra furlong.
The third home Petitioner (7:50) won a maiden at this track just over a year ago and is just 1lb higher than his last start. He appeared to hold every chance that day, but being a half-brother to Biographer, could come into his own now he is stepped up to staying trips.
The horse that split the pair here last time was none other than Dash Of Spice, who has since won twice, franking the form in no uncertain terms. Yes, he looked a shade unlucky that day, but has since won at Epsom (off 3lbs higher) and at Royal Ascot (off a 14lbs higher mark than when meeting this pair), so the form looks solid.
