Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday; Robin The Raven in the Worcester 15:15. Compare odds and bet.
Worcester stages a decent little novices’ chase this afternoon, in which preference is for ROBIN THE RAVEN (3:15).
Third on his chase debut over course-and-distance last month, Kim Bailey’s six-year-old has two-and-a-half lengths to make up with Deauville Crystal, but is capable of reversing form on 6lbs better terms. For most of the home straight, he looked the winner only to fade late on. That was his first start in 179 days, so he can be expected to strip fitter for the run and I suspect David Bass will ride him with a shade more restraint this afternoon.
Peter Bowen’s useful hurdler Jeannot De Nonant was a wide-margin winner at Cartmel recently, but this looks much tougher and he’s burdened with a 6lbs penalty.
Monday’s selection:
3:15 Worcester – Robin The Raven; 11/8 William Hill
