Having improved over hurdles since last seen on the level SCARPETA (8:10) is taken to land the staying handicap on his return to the Flat at Killarney.
Willie Mullins’ five-year-old bolted up in a maiden hurdle at Gowran Park in January and he ran a blinder when fourth to Samcro at Cheltenham. He was almost brought to a standstill at Punchestown last time – badly hampered two out – and he remains unexposed as a stayer on the level.
A winner over 1m6f, he finished fourth over 2m on his final start for Mark Johnston and a mark of 75 seems fair.
