Off the mark at Kempton last month Timeforben (3:30) is fancied to defy a 4lbs rise in the weights at Southwell on Sunday.
David Pipe’s Beneficial mare had shown promise in earlier last season, but appeared to relish the step up to this sort of trip and travelled all over her opposition last time. The six-year-old only had half-a-length to spare at the line, but was probably for value for more than the official margin and this doesn’t look as strong a contest, in all honesty.
With the better ground likely to suit – won her Irish Point-to-Point on good ground – there is plenty more to come and she can score under Tom Scudamore. She is likely to have a bright future over fences in time.
