Paul Ferguson has two selections from Kempton for us on Saturday; Django Django in the 1.15 and Redicean at 2.25.
A winner at Huntingdon recently Django Django (1:15) can make a winning handicap debut at Kempton on Saturday.
An improving novice, the step up in trip looks sure to help and, whilst he will find this a lot more competitive, an opening mark of 125 looks more than fair. His penultimate second at Doncaster now reads quite well – the winner returning to the same track to run well in a strong race under a penalty (First Drift, a winner for us earlier in the week, hailed from that contest) – and he looks capable of going well under Aidan Coleman.
Later on the card Redicean (2:25) can make it three from three over hurdles and over course-and-distance in the Adonis Hurdle.
A winner at 1m6f on his final start on the Flat for David O’Meara, he won by 10 lengths here over Christmas and followed up, despite not jumping particularly fluently last month. He showed a fine turn of foot in the closing stages, however, and he can put himself into the mix for the Triumph Hurdle with victory this afternoon.
Saturday’s selections:
1:15 Kempton – Django Django; 7/1 BetVictor
2:25 Kempton – Redicean; 5/6 Ladbrokes
