Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Clondaw Castle in the Kelso 13:10. Compare odds and bet.
An former Irish Point-to-Point winner Clondaw Castle (1:10) did well in bumpers last term and has already made up into a useful novice hurdler.
Tom George’s six-year-old won at Stratford 0debut last March, before finishing eighth in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree, finishing just in front of stable-mate Black Op, a winner earlier in the week.
A smooth winner on his debut over hurdles at Huntingdon in November, the Oscar gelding went on to finish third to a potentially useful mare of Nicky Henderson’s (conceding 13lbs) at Doncaster. The runner-up, to whom Clondaw Castle was conceding 6lbs, has since won a handicap hurdle off 124, so the form looks solid and he can return to winning ways here, under Ciaran Gethings.
