Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Lad Of Luck in the Huntingdon 14:00. Compare odds and bet.
A half-brother to last season’s Cheltenham Festival winner Let’s Dance, LAD OF LUCK (2:00) created a favourable impression when winning a Chepstow bumper and is very much of interest in Huntingdon’s maiden hurdle.
The fact he has been off since February is slight concern, but he looked a nice prospect on his sole start last term, travelling effortlessly through the soft ground.
The runner-up hasn’t done much for the form, but the third has won a maiden hurdle and was third in a handicap off 125 on New Year’s Eve. He ought to go well this afternoon (9/2 overnight) and represents a bit of value in what looks a decent contest.
Turtle Wars is respected, while Maire Banrigh looked a potential star when winning her Point-to-Point and might well appreciate the drop in trip after racing keenly at Ludlow. She also wears the first time tongue tie.
Friday’s selection:
2:00 Huntingdon – Lad Of Luck; 7/2 Ladbrokes
