Although a nine race maiden ZALVADOS (12:50) has run some decent races in defeat of late and could finally get off the mark at Ludlow on Wednesday.
Placed in the conditional jockeys’ handicap at Aintree last April, he finished fourth in a strong event at Cheltenham in November before chasing home an improving sort in Limited Reserve last time. His second at Bangor earlier in the campaign also reads quite well and this offers him the best opportunity for some time to get his head in front.
