Unbeaten in three races to date Time Chaser (1:20) is taken to maintain her 100% in the opener at Haydock this afternoon.
Roger Charlton’s three-year-old is a full sister to the classy Time Test and is progressing steadily, proving her ability to handle soft ground – was a concern beforehand due to her pedigree – at Sandown last time. Up a further 5lbs and up in class, more is required here but she looks up to the task.
Down as Ascot, another three-year-old filly to back is Mam’Selle (3:55) in the competitive looking Appletiser Stakes.
An impressive winner at Lingfield on her penultimate start, she again scored in taking fashion at Newbury three weeks ago, when also proving herself on a soft surface. William Haggas’ daughter of Teofilo races off 7lbs higher here in what looks a much deeper race, but she warrants each-way support (trading at 12-1 at the time of writing) at the odds.
