Former French bumper winner CAPSY DE MEE (5:30) bumped into an in-form rival when runner-up on his chase debut earlier in the month and can go one better at Sedgefield today.
The five-year-old had failed to make an impression in three starts over hurdles last term – pitched into a strong Newbury maiden on his British debut – but jumped well at Stratford and could come into his own over fences.
Jamie Snowden has his string in good form at present – saddled two winners and a second from just three runners between 24th-28th August – and the selection looks capable of winning off his current mark, with the shorter trip also likely to prove beneficial.
