Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Solatentif in the Uttoxeter 16:15. Compare odds and bet.
Work In Progress appears to have turned the corner over fences and has made up into a smart novice for Dan Skelton, but any rain would be a concern as he goes in search of the hat-trick bid at Uttoxeter.
With that in mind, plus the weight he will receive, preference is for Solatentif (4:15) who made a pleasing chase debut at Plumpton in January – split Baron Alco and Starchitect – before disappointing in a strong race at Haydock. Not always the most consistent, some of his better efforts have come on the back of a break and he ran a tremendous race on soft ground at Cheltenham in November (first start in a year).
He holds sound claims on today’s terms – if jumping proficiently – and looks as though he will be suited by the return to 2m4f. On his first start in 102 days, the seven-year-old can lower the colours of the penalised pair.
