A wide-margin winner on his chase debut at Kilbeggan last month CONRAD HASTINGS (8:50) looks a smart prospect for the time of year and can land the concluding novices’ chase at Killarney this evening.
Henry de Bromhead’s six-year-old jumped well and, given how strongly he finished, this longer trip shouldn’t be a problem. He didn’t go on after winning a maiden hurdle last May, but his trainer hinted that he’d had problems throughout last season and it could be that chasing is the making of him.
