A couple of recent Hexham winners look capable of following up this afternoon, starting with THE WICKET CHICKEN (2:55) at Fontwell.
Neil Mulholland’s mare won a bumper at the Northumberland track just 15 days ago and she can land this maiden hurdle. A former winning Irish pointer, she had earlier shaped well in bumpers and she clearly handles decent ground.
Just ten minutes later ONE FOR BILLY (3:05) can make a successful handicap debut for the in-form Dan Skelton stable.
He got off the mark over hurdles at Hexham earlier in the month, travelling strongly throughout, and an opening mark of 113 gives him a chance. He is another who appreciates good ground.
