Sandown’s Team Army Handicap Hurdle looks just about the race of the day and, while I think Billy Bronco will handle conditions and has more to offer, KAYF ADVENTURE (15:40) looks potentially well treated.
Philip Hobbs’ heavy ground bumper winner finished third to Neon Wolf on his hurdles debut, on what was his first start in more than 21 months, before bolting up at Fontwell last month.
The strong looking six-year-old handles soft ground and an opening mark of 123 might well underestimate his ability.
