Paul Ferguson has two selections from Newbury for us on Friday; Le Breuil in the 2.40 and Debece in the 4.20. Compare odds and bet.
Neptune and Albert Bartlett entry LE BREUIL (2:40) makes his first start since early November at Newbury on Friday and Ben Pauling’s charge can make it two from two over hurdles.
An impressive bumper winner at Warwick in May last year, he won really well on his hurdling debut at Sedgefield last time and the placed horses have since advertised the form. Held up after meeting with a small setback, he can get his season back on track here.
Later on the card DEBECE (4:20) can also return from a short lay-off to win, in the handicap hurdle over the same trip.
Tim Vaughan’s imposing six-year-old shaped well at Cheltenham’s Open meeting before recording a rallying third at Aintree. Off since December, he remains potentially well handicapped and, with the yard in good form, he is taken to score with Newbury’s long straight likely to suit.
