Not seen since winning a bumper at Uttoxeter in March, MR BIG SHOT (16:00) can make a belated winning reappearance at Wetherby this afternoon.
David Pipe’s imposing son of Flemensfirth defied greenness to score by 8 lengths, finishing really strongly. The runner-up has been a shade disappointing since and the form might not look as strong as I expected, but the fourth has won twice over hurdles and the third would have won easily last week but for falling at the last.
The selection will need further in time, but the galloping track should suit and he can make a winning debut.
