Paul Ferguson two selections for us on Saturday; Fair Eva in the 2.45 at Ascot and Powerallied in the 4.00 at Chester. Compare odds and bet.
Arguably the pick of the Frankel offspring that we’ve seen to date Fair Eva (2:45) can make it two from two in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
Roger Charlton’s filly was really impressive at Haydock on debut, in beating Nations Alexander, who won a Listed race next time before finishing third in the Group 2 Cherry Hinton. The third has also won since, so the form looks solid, and she can strengthen her position at the head of the 1,000 Guineas market.
Up at Chester Powerallied (4:00) can follow up last month’s course-and-distance success, under Patrick Mathers.
Richard Fahey’s three-year-old has gone up 7lbs, but he won with a fair bit in hand last time and he has been handed the plumb draw in stall one here. The one question is the quick ground, but he looked a sprinter to follow last time and is taken to strike again for Richard Fahey.
The same connections’ Ballesteros is respected and is capable of going well in the same contest.
Saturday’s selections:
2:45 Ascot: Fair Eva; 4/5 Skybet
4:00 Chester: Powerallied; 11/4 BetVictor
