Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Thursday; Tigris River (NR) in the Killarney 15:30. Compare odds and bet.
Thursday’s Killarney Grand Live Music Venue Handicap Hurdle looks a competitive affair and one in which recent Bellewstown winner Winter Lion is sure to be popular.
He won in the manner of a progressive hurdler and warrants utmost respect, but TIGRIS RIVER (3:30) was having his first start since January when finishing fourth in the same contest and might be capable of reversing form on 7lbs better terms.
Joseph O’Brien’s five-year-old was competing in much more competitive contests last winter and the run might have sharpened him up. If it has, the Montjeu gelding could well go close and will, hopefully, be available at an each-way price.
Connections of both horses might have one eye on Galway, but either (certainly Winter Lion) might need to win to get into the Galway Hurdle, if that is indeed an intended target.
Top-weight Cliff House is another to consider, following his gallant second to the well-handicapped Shanpallas last time.
