Paul Ferguson has two selections from Bellewstown for us on Thursday; Bay of Freedom at 19.40 and Muthaza at 20:10. Compare odds and bet.
BAY OF FREEDOM (7:40) was thought good enough to contest Grade 1 bumpers the season before last and he is of interest on his handicap debut at Bellewstown.
The seven-year-old got off the mark over hurdles in April, before finishing third behind Ah Littleluck, who has won again since. A switch to handicap company should be beneficial and a mark of 114 looks potentially lenient, certainly judged on his bumper form.
Later on the card MUTHAZA (8:10) should make it two from two over hurdles for Willie Mullins.
She fairly bolted up in a mares’ maiden at Tramore over 2m5f and, though she has more on her plate and drops in trip this evening, it will be disappointing if she doesn’t follow up.
