Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Boris De Blae in the Downpatrick 15:35. Compare odds and bet.
The winner of a bumper here last August Boris De Blae (3:35) went on to win a Listowel maiden hurdle the following month and, with a recent comeback run under his belt, the Mahler gelding is fancied to make a winning debut over fences at Downpatrick.
A former winning pointer, Alan Fleming’s six-year-old chestnut looked as though he would come on for that returning effort at Killarney and should strip fitter this afternoon. Given that he has looked a thorough stayer, both when winning his bumper and his maiden hurdle, he will probably be ridden prominently here and, though he has a bit to find with Aminabad on hurdles form, he can make the perfect start to his chasing career.
Sunday’s selection:
3:35 Downpatrick: Boris De Blae; 7/4 Skybet
