Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Friday; Architecture in the 4.30 at Epsom and Chidswell in the 4.45 at Market Rasen. Compare odds and bet.
It’s Oaks day at Epsom on Friday, where 1,000 Guineas heroine Minding heads the betting.
Aidan O’Brien’s Galileo filly is the most talented in the line-up for me, but her stamina is not guaranteed and this race comes just 12 days after she was beaten in the Irish Guineas.
If fully over that and she stays, she will win, but there are too many questions to back her at Evs. Therefore, I’ll take a chance each-way on ARCHITECTURE (4:30), who admittedly also needs to prove she can stay, but she is available at double figure odds.
Hugo Palmer’s filly handles an easy surface and travelled like a dream at Lingfield last time. She ought to handle the track and looks capable of reversing form with Seventh Heaven.
Up at Market Rasen CHIDSWELL (4:45) returns from a 454-day absence and can defy top-weight.
Nicky Richards’ seven-year-old was a useful novice the season before last and has dropped to an attractive looking mark.
With the step up to the best part of 3m likely to suit, he can make a winning return. The selection was declared to make his comeback at Aintree last month, before being pulled out, and this looks much weaker.
Friday’s Selections:
4:30 Epsom – Architecture; 14/1 Skybet
4:45 Market Rasen – Chidswell; 4/1 Betfred
