Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Balko Des Flos in the Punchestown 16:20. Compare odds and bet.
A course-and-distance winner earlier in the campaign BALKO DES FLOS (4:20) will appreciate the drop back in trip at Punchestown this afternoon and he can return to winning ways in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Hurdle.
Willie Mullins’ dual bumper winner finished fifth in the Albert Bartlett and fourth in the Sefton on his last two starts, travelling well throughout both races without appearing to stay the trip.
The concern is that Cheltenham and Aintree could have taken plenty out of him, but he had only run twice earlier in the season, so it is hoped he runs his race. This race, restricted to horses that have won no more than once over hurdles, looks ideal.
