Paul Ferguson two selections from Cheltenham for us on Wednesday; Yanworth in the 1.30 and More Of That at 2.10. Compare odds and bet.
Unbeaten in four starts to date over hurdles Yanworth (1:30) is fancied to make it five from five in Wednesday’s opening Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle.
Alan King’s six-year-old finished fourth in last year’s Champion Bumper, but has flourished since switching to timber this term and looked something special when winning here on trials day. His early season form now reads extremely well and, though the race now looks slightly tougher (with Yorkhill in opposition), Barry Geraghty’s mount can maintain his unbeaten record over timber. He was trading at 6-4 overnight.
Geraghty and owner JP McManus can double up in the RSA Chase with More Of That (2:10) who can also maintain a 100% record this season.
The former World Hurdle winner has won both starts over fences at this track (also two from two over hurdles at Cheltenham) and, while he lacks a little experience, the drying ground is very much in his favour, whereas chief market rival No More Heroes would prefer it softer.
The day’s second selection was available at 2-1 on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday’s selections:
1:30 Cheltenham Festival: Yanworth; 13/8 Boylesports
2:10 Cheltenham Festival: More Of That; 9/4 Coral
