Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday; Looking Well in the Catterick 16:10. Compare odds and bet.
Catterick’s Weatherbys Hamilton Handicap Chase is the race of the day on Monday, in which novice Warrantor carries top weight for the in-form Warren Greatrex yard.
He is capable of going well under optimum conditions, but he has to concede weight to some useful rivals, including Straidnahanna who has dropped to an attractive looking mark.
Sue Smith’s course-and-distance winner ought to go well, but preference is for LOOKING WELL (4:10) who shaped well in a novices’ chase here on New Year’s Day.
Nicky Richards’ Gold Well gelding chased home Definitly Red on his second chase start, having started off over an inadequate trip.
The seven-year-old won a handicap hurdle off 120 not so long ago and remains reasonably treated. Again, conditions shouldn’t be a problem.
Monday’s selection:
4:10 Catterick – Looking Well; 7/2 Paddy Power
