Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Alisier D’Irlande in the Fairyhouse 14:50. Compare odds and bet.
Though he has to concede race-fitness to Grade 1 winning hurdler McKinley, Henry De Bromhead’s Alisier D’Irlande (2:50) is fancied to make a winning reappearance in the 2m1f beginners’ chase at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
The six-year-old won a very moderate maiden hurdle on his debut for the stable in March, having failed to sparkle in two starts for Philip Hobbs, but the former winning pointer has always looked a chaser in waiting. The Kapgarde gelding could prove at his best over this sort of trip under forceful tactics and he remains an interesting prospect.
Sunday’s selection:
2:50 Fairyhouse: Alisier D’Irlande; 5/2 bet365
