Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday; Risk A Fine in the Kempton 2.45. Compare odds and bet.
Kempton stages a cracking card on Monday, with the opening novices’ hurdle a fairly deep event which should throw up plenty of future winners, while smart hurdler Vaniteux makes his debut over fences in the second race on the card. If you don’t mind taking short odds about a chasing debutant, he really ought to score here granted a clear round.
Later on the card Risk A Fine (2:45) is taken to make it three from three over fences in the 2m4f handicap chase, for trainer Philip Hobbs, who continues to have his string in fine form.
The six-year-old won easily on his chase debut at Market Rasen during June, before jumping to his right when following it up at Worcester the following month. Returning to a right-handed track will clearly aid the son of Saffron Walden, who sports his customary hood this afternoon under Tom O’Brien.
The selection was available at a best price 4-1 overnight.
