Harry Fry saddled an impressive winner on chase debut at Ascot on Friday and he can repeat the trick with Fletchers Flyer (2:00) at Exeter on Sunday.
The seven-year-old was a useful novice hurdler last term, but has always appealed as the type to improve for fences and, with the testing ground in his favour, he is taken to make the perfect start under Noel Fehily.
Over in Ireland, Douvan’s chase debut is likely to dominate the Navan card, but Willie Mullins saddles another smart prospect in the bumper, in the shape of wide-margin Listowel winner Augusta Kate (3:40).
Beautifully bred, by Yeats out of high-class race mare Feathard Lady, the four-year-old looked seriously exciting when scoring by 23 lengths on debut and, though she held an entry at Cheltenham last week, this has long been her target.
