Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Two Taffs in the Bangor 15:00. Compare odds and bet.
While the pick of the action, in terms of exciting novices on show, comes from Punchestown, Bangor also stages a decent card on Tuesday, where Two Taffs (3:00) is fancied to win the novices’ hurdle, for Dan and Harry Skelton.
The imposing five-year-old defied greenness to win a Market Rasen bumper in March and, while he will undoubtedly flourish over further in time, he could be up to winning this on his seasonal reappearance, with his stable in fine form.
The Flemensfirth gelding receives 7lbs from two of his main market rivals (both ex-Flat horses who are one from over hurdles) and that might just sway things in his favour.
Earlier on the card, the novices’ chase looks a decent event and Nicky Henderson’s Theinval looks an athletic type who ought to take to fences. He had a couple of runs over fences in France before joining current connections and has conditions in his favour today. While he is the most likely winner, he was trading short enough in my opinion overnight and the race is, therefore, best watched.
