Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday; Wishing And Hoping in the 14:30 at Plumpton. Compare odds and bet.
Plumpton stages a couple of decent events to kick start the week, notably the novices’ handicap chase over an extended 2m3f.
This looks a competitive little event, in which the in-form Colin Tizzard saddles Buckhorn Timothy and Emma Lavelle’s Andy Kelly is one I’ve always thought would jump a fence; disappointing last season, he would be a huge threat off his current mark if recapturing his novice form from the previous season.
Earlier on the card WISHING AND HOPING (2:30) can make a winning debut over hurdles in the opening maiden.
He represents another yard in form in the shape of the Alan King stable and he looked a useful prospect when winning a bumper at Wincanton last December.
Fifth to Barters Hill in Listed company on his second start, the son of Beneficial did disappoint on his final outing at Haydock when quite keen in soft ground, but today’s conditions should suit and he appeals as the type to develop into a nice hurdler this season.
Monday’s selection:
2:30 Plumpton – Wishing And Hoping; 6/5 bet365
