Paul Ferguson has two selections from Worcester for us on Thursday; Wishful Dreaming at 3.05 and Fingerontheswitch at 4.50. Compare odds and bet.
Runner-up at Kelso on his recent hurdles debut FINGERONTHESWITCH (4:50) can gain compensation in the concluding maiden hurdle at Worcester on Thursday, provided he settles in the early stages.
Keen last time, he moved like much the best horse in the race before tiring and, if he has come on for the outing, he should be hard to beat here.
The longer trip is a slight concern given his exuberance at Kelso but, if Noel Fehily can switch him off, the Towcester bumper winner should go one better.
Earlier on the card WISHFULL DREAMING (3:05) can make a winning debut over timber for Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson.
Runner-up to a smart prospect at Exeter, the four-year-old won the junior bumper at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day and rates an exciting prospect for the season ahead.
The selection overcame trouble in running to win at Cheltenham and is fancied to land today’s EBF novices’ hurdle before going on to bigger and better things.
