Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; The Eaglehaslanded in the Exeter 14:10. Compare odds and bet.
The action on Tuesday is pretty uninspiring to say the least, with the lack of runners at Exeter a huge disappointment on what is usually a decent early-season card.
Though he is priced up accordingly, the most likely winner comes in the opening amateur riders’ novices’ hurdle, in the shape of market leader The Eaglehaslanded (2:10) who can provide Paul Nicholls with a third win in the race since 2010.
The trainer caused a shock when 14-1 shot Morito Du Berlais landed the prize 12 months ago, whereas it will be a disappointment if his Milan gelding doesn’t make it three from four under rules.
The winner of a bumper here on New Year’s Day, he bounced back from a fall (also here at Exeter) when scoring at Chepstow in March. The step up in trip ought to suit and he should have too much for David Pipe’s For ‘N’ Against.
Trading around 4-7 overnight, if he eases slightly this morning he might become of interest, otherwise I suggest keeping your powder dry for later in the week.
Tuesday’s selection:
2:10 Exeter: The Eaglehaslanded; 4/7 Paddy Power
