Emma Lavelle’s seven-year-old developed into a useful novice hurdler last season and is built for the larger obstacles.
This looks a fairly hot beginners’ chase, so hopefully the selection might represent a bit of value after his mishap last time.
In the concluding novices’ hurdle, keep an eye on point-to-point winner Ballycross, who cost current connections £120,000 at Doncaster in May. His form between the flags reads pretty well.
