After a highly promising debut at Newmarket FARANDINE (3:10) is taken to get off the mark at Kempton on Monday.
Luca Cumani’s Rock Of Gibraltar filly moved well before finishing runner-up to Gypsy Eyes and, though the winner failed to advertise the form in the May Hill Stakes, the third, sixth and eighth have subsequently come out and won maidens.
There are a few unknown quantities in opposition, but the selection sets a fair standard and Cumani’s juveniles can usually be expected to improve for their initial racecourse experience. If that is the case, she is very much the one to beat in division one of the 7f fillies’ maiden.
