Jump on Jags in 17/2 treble

Sat 15.00: Peter Sharkey has four Scottish Premiership picks this weekend including a 17/2 treble (bet365).

After conceding a late penalty which resulted in them dropping two points at Kilmarnock on Wednesday night, Celtic will be keen to bounce back when they host Inverness on Saturday. Bookies fancy them to do just that – and with good reason.

The pair’s last four meetings at Parkhead have ended in Celtic victories and an aggregate 17-0 scoreline – no wonder the champions are William Hill’s 2/7 favourites to win and an attractive 6/5 (BetVictor.com) to win without conceding. Their recent record at Parkhead also explains Thistle’s 14/1 starting price (Winner.com).

Hamilton and Dundee United served up ten goals in their three contests last term and bet365 offer 4/6 about them both scoring when they lock horns on Saturday, while Stan James post 12/5 against the fixture yielding more than 3.5 goals. United won the corresponding fixture 3-2 last season, a repeat of which is rated a 30/1 shot by BetVictor.com.

As Aberdeen have won their last three contests with Motherwell, they look a little overpriced at even money (Ladbrokes) to make it four from four this weekend – a 2-0 Dons victory is considered an 8/1 chance by Paddy Power.

Partick and Kilmarnock served up 14 goals in their four league meetings last season. Partick, who failed to beat Killie in any of them, open as Skybet’s even money jollies, with Kilmarnock offered at 14/5 by bet365. Winner.com post 5/6 about both teams finding the net and William Hill chalk 14/1 against it finishing two apiece.

League-leaders Hearts travel to Ross County on Saturday priced as Stan James’s understandable 8/5 favourites. The Jambos have only ever lost once to County and at 9/1 (Ladbrokes) to register a 2-1 victory, they look particularly well-priced.

St Johnstone will want to end their winless run when they make the journey to Dens Park to face Dundee on Saturday. The Dark Blues snatched a last-gasp equaliser in their local derby on Tuesday night and at 7/5 (Skybet) to add to St Johnstone’s early-season misery by winning, they look good value.

Yet in a quartet of very close contests last term, the Saints beat Dundee twice and drew once, the four duels producing a total of just six goals. Nevertheless, they head to Tayside as bet365’s 2/1 underdogs and priced at 8/5 (Stan James) to keep a clean sheet.

Recommended Bets:
Celtic to beat Inverness ‘to nil’ – 6/5 (BetVictor)
Over 3.5 goals in Hamilton v Dundee Utd – 12/5 (Stan James)
Hearts to beat Ross County 2-1 – 9/1 (Ladbrokes)
Treble on Aberdeen, Partick and Dundee – 17/2 (bet365)
