Carrying a penalty in a bumper is never easy for a four-year-old, but Princess Roania (5:30) almost managed it last month and is fancied to won for the second time at Southwell on Sunday.
Peter Bowen’s Dubai Destination filly won at Taunton on debut, before twice shaping well under her penalty. She had Belcanto 5 lengths away in third when runner-up here last time and, though Jamie Snowden’s mare shaped with plenty of promise and can be expected to improve with that being her debut, the selection is taken to confirm the form and go one better.
