Paul Ferguson two selections from Sandown on Thursday; Eagle Top in the 19:45 and Consort at 20:15. Compare odds and bet.
Sandown hosts a high-class evening card on Thursday, with the Henry II Stakes and the Brigadier Gerard looking fairly strong renewals.
Though we have yet to see him this season and he will improve once back up in trip later in the campaign EAGLE TOP (19:45) can make a winning return in the latter.
John Gosden’s King Edward VII winner appeals as the type to develop into a top-class four-year-old and he can take this en route back to Royal Ascot, where he holds entries in the Prince Of Wales’s and the Hardwicke.
Another making a belated reappearance is the Sir Michael Stoute-trained CONSORT (20:15) who can land the Listed Heron Stakes under Ryan Moore.
The Lope De Vega colt looked potentially very smart when winning a Newmarket maiden on his sole start at two and that race worked out well subsequently. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of the grey, who is also likely to be Ascot bound if successful here.
Thursday’s selections:
19:45 Sandown – Eagle Top; 4/1 Betvictor
20:15 Sandown – Consort; 9/4 Paddy Power
