Paul Ferguson has two selections from The Curragh for us on Sunday; The Grey Gatsby at 3.20 and Found at 3.55. Compare odds and bet.
The pick of Sunday’s action comes from the Curragh where Found (3:55) is fancied to land the Irish 1,000 Guineas for Aidan O’Brien.
The daughter of Galileo was a top-class two-year-old and won a strong renewal of the Prix Marcel Boussac on Arc day at Longchamp. Beaten in Group 3 company on her reappearance over 7f earlier in the month, she appeared to blow up that day after easily hitting the front and I expect that run to be left behind this afternoon.
Earlier on the card The Grey Gatsby (3:20) should be difficult to beat in the Tattersalls Gold Cup. Kevin Ryan’s four-year-old was top-class at three, winning the Dante, the French Derby and the Irish Champion Stakes and there could easily be more to come from his this term.
The Mastercraftsman colt fared well in defeat when last seen in Dubai during March and, though the evergreen Al Kazeem and the Luca Cumani-trained Postponed warrant respect, Ryan Moore’s mount looks a worthy market leader.
Sunday’s selections:
3:20 Curragh: The Grey Gatsby 6/4 Paddy Power
3:55 Curragh: Found 15/8 BetVictor
