Paul Ferguson has two selections from Kempton on Monday; Kayf Blanco in the 4.55 and Robins Reef at 5.25. Compare odds and bet.
Kempton stages a decent card on Monday, where Kayf Blanco (4:55) is given another chance after a blip at Sedgefield during Cheltenham week.
Earlier, he had won over course-and-distance during February and races off just a 4lb higher mark this afternoon. A fairly serious error put pay to his chance last time and, back on a softer surface, he looks capable of going well for Graeme McPherson and Gavin Sheehan.
The concluding mares’ bumper looks a decent contest on paper, with Raya Hope an interesting newcomer. However, Robins Reef (5:25) created a good impression when winning at Market Rasen last month, before finishing fifth in a Listed event at Sandown.
The daughter of Robin Des Champs stayed on without really threatening that day, but it was a strong event for a mares’ contest, and she will appreciate the drop in class. She can concede her penalty under Andrew Tinkler, who was on board when she won at Market Rasen.
Monday’s selections:
4:55 Kempton: Kayf Blanco; 11/2 Coral
5:25 Kempton: Robins Reef; 6/5 Paddy Power
