Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Wolf Sword in the Sedgefield 15:35. Compare odds and bet.
Newbury stages a fairly decent card on Friday, where Wuff makes his second start over fences.
Regular readers will know I’ve been a fan of this horse since he made his racecourse debut at Haydock, but he was a little disappointing on chase debut and this is a competitive event.
With that in mind, Tom George’s charge is best watched and the day’s selection instead comes from Sedgefield.
WOLF SWORD (3:35) clearly wasn’t right when well beaten behind one of today’s rivals, Five In A Row, here earlier in the season, but is progressing nicely over hurdles.
Runner-up to two useful sorts the last twice, George Moore’s useful bumper performer (coincidentally made his debut in the same bumper as Wuff) looks on a fair mark and will hopefully be available at an each-way price.
Friday’s selection:
3:35 Sedgefield – Wolf Sword; 5/1 bet365
