Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; El Namoose in the Musselburgh 13:00. Compare odds and bet.
Musselburgh stages their valuable Cheltenham trials card on Sunday and, though he faces a couple of smart and more experience rivals, the opener can go the way of classy bumper performer El Namoose (1:00).
A winner at this track on his racecourse debut last January, he disappointed in the Champion Bumper but won twice during the autumn with plenty in hand. The six-year-old made it three from three for the season in a Huntingdon maiden hurdle in November, after which he has been given a mid-season break whilst the ground has been bad.
The drying conditions and the tight track should play to his strengths and, while he gives away some experience to The Grey Taylor and Some Plan (both of who have decent form in the book), he is taken to make it two from two over hurdles under Tony McCoy.
