Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Kingfisher Creek in the Taunton 14:00. Compare odds and bet.
He is likely to be short, but Kingfisher Creek (2:00) sets a very good standard and can defy his penalty in the first division of the 2m1f novices’ hurdle at Taunton on Tuesday.
Colin Tizzard’s Newcastle winner got within a half-length of Aso at this track over Christmas and the winner went on to win a Listed event at Haydock. The ground is unlikely to be an issue and he can regain the winning thread under Brendan Powell.
In the same contest, keep an eye on the steadily improving Official Ben for Jonjo O’Neill, JP McManus and AP McCoy – I’m sure he will win before the season is out, but it could be in handicaps that he comes into his own.
Tuesday’s selection:
2:00 Taunton: Kingfisher Creek; 8/15 bet365
