Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Billy Twyford in the Fakenham 14:00. Compare odds and bet.
A winner off this mark over hurdles at Newbury in March Billy Twyford (2:00) can get off the mark over fences at the second time of asking, at Fakenham on Sunday.
The three-times hurdle winner made a more promising start to his chasing career than the official margin of defeat would suggest (beaten 30 lengths by the potentially smart Sego Success at Wetherby), jumping well in the main, before fading in the home straight.
The Brian Boru gelding had been a little keen in the early exchanges, so his finishing effort was somewhat understandable, and he should strip fitter here. With the drop back in trip and sharper track likely to play to his strengths (assuming he is again allowed to bowl along), Lawney Hill’s seven-year-old might be difficult to peg back.
Sunday’s selection:
2:00 Fakenham Billy Twyford
