Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Smart Motive in the Uttoxeter 12:10. Compare odds and bet.
Ascot stages some decent action on Friday, with several exciting novices on show as well as a very strong looking bumper.
The eagerly-awaited chasing debut of the imposing Josses Hill is potentially the highlight, but he faces no easy task here and will need to be fully wound-up to strike. At the odds, the race is, therefore, best watched.
Earlier on in the day Smart Motive (12:10) should be difficult to beat in the opener at Uttoxeter, for Alan King and the talented Tom Bellamy.
The four-year-old won impressively off this mark (100) last Friday and gets in here without a penalty, due to that being a boys’ race. The Motivator gelding settled much better at Bangor and, if in the same form, he will be difficult to beat under top-weight.
Friday’s selection:
12:10 Uttoxeter: Smart Motive; 10/11 Paddy Power
