Nicky Henderson sends three horses on the long journey north to Catterick on Wednesday and the useful Cocktails At Dawn (1:50) can make the trip worthwhile, in the 2m3f beginners’ chase.
A useful hurdler, the six-year-old has the look of a chaser and shaped with a degree of promise on his debut over fences at Ascot recently. A bit keen, that outing should have taken the edge off him and he can strike at the main expense of useful mare Doyly Carte, who was a shade disappointing on her chase bow at Uttoxeter.
