Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Some Buckle in the Southwell 14:20. Compare odds and bet.
Tom George and Paddy Brennan enjoyed a double at Leicester on Sunday for owner Roger Brookhouse and the trio can strike again at Southwell on Tuesday, with Some Buckle (2:20) in the maiden hurdle.
The son of Milan cost £180,000 after winning his Irish point and he shaped with an abundance of promise on his rules debut, when third behind Zeroshadesofgrey (won both starts over hurdles this season) at Doncaster. The second, Relic Rock (won next time before finishing second in the Grade 2 at Aintree) and fourth, Racing Europe (won a Bangor bumper recently by 10 lengths), have also since franked the form.
George’s five-year-old went on to contest the Grade 1 bumper at the Punchestown Festival and, unsurprisingly given the greenness he showed on debut, found it all a bit much at that stage of his career. He can leave that form behind and should develop into a nice novice hurdler this season.
