Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Knock House in the Fakenham 14:30. Compare odds and bet.
Fakenham’s Gary Peters Novices’ Chase was won by the smart Wonderful Charm last year and today’s renewal looks a decent contest, with the verdict going the way of Mick Channon’s debutant Knock House (2:30).
The Old Vic gelding won a Plumpton novice hurdle last December, but also shaped well behind Beat That and Champagne West on another couple of occasions at Ascot, before finishing down the pack behind Faugheen in the Neptune.
The five-year-old appeals as the type to improve for fences and is taken to make an immediate impact over the larger obstacles. Fellow newcomer Portway Flyer is another to note, for Ian Williams and Jason Maguire.
The King’s Theatre gelding is an imposing individual who was in fine form between November and March last season, before his form tailed off somewhat during the spring. He also remains a horse of some interest.
