Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Saturday; Big Orange in the Chester 15:30. Compare odds and bet.
Michael Bell provided us with a winner earlier in the week and his Big Orange (3:30) is of interest in Chester’s extended 1m5f listed handicap.
Last seen finishing fourth in the Queen’s Vase, where he didn’t do his handicap mark any favours it has to be said, the Duke Of Marmalade gelding has progressed with each run this season and the shorter trip is a positive this afternoon.
An all-weather maiden winner at Lingfield back in April, he ran well for a long way at Royal Ascot and, while softening ground is a bit of an unknown (will suit market leader and the respected Whiplash Willie), he is worth taking a chance on at 8-1 with Bet Victor – top price first show on Friday evening.
Saturday’s selection:
3:30 Chester Big Orange; 8/1 Betvictor
