Following an encouraging second on debut at Doncaster earlier in the month, Jeremy Noseda’s Shama’s Crown (7:30) is taken to shed her maiden tag at the second time of asking at Windsor on Monday evening.
The New Approach filly travelled strongly for a long way first time up and run into a smart sort in the shape of Pleasant Valley, who franked the form by winning at the same track over the weekend (handicap off 78).
A reproduction of that effort ought to see her land a maiden before too long and, given how she moved on debut, the slightly shorter trip could be a positive. The in-form Ryan Moore takes the ride.
