Live on ITV: Mon 17.00: Thomas Muller is 6/1 (Skybet) to score first as Germany face Portugal in World Cup Group G.
There’s little doubting that the highlight of Monday’s World Cup action is Salvador’s Group G showdown between Germany and Portugal.
Both teams will fancy their chances of going deep into the tournament and indeed they’re two of the European teams with a genuine chance to lift the trophy, even if the Portuguese have to be considered ‘dark horses’.
Nevertheless, bookies give Die Mannschaft the nod here, Paddy Power pricing them at 23/20 to come out on top and in what should be a tight affair, Ladbrokes rate Joachim Low’s team at 31/10 to nick it by one.
It’s 9/1 (BetVictor) for the Germans to card a 2-1 success or alternatively, Coral quote 21/5 for them to prevail and for both teams to find the net.
Understandably, Cristiano Ronaldo is favoured at 5/1 (BetVictor) to break the deadlock but having claimed the Golden Boot in the 2010 tournament, German attacker Thomas Muller is a force to be reckoned with and he appeals at 6/1 courtesy of Skybet to net first.
